The AN designation means it was Army/ Navy (or Army Air Force/ Navy) the T means it was training equipment, I have no idea on the -18, though.

It looks like it was part of a cockpit simulator, they could change the compass settings via the knob on the control unit.

Interesting pieces, though.

Yes, the control boxes and the radio compass gauge we're pretty sure are off of a Link Trainer. The one we need more info on is the Wind Drift Gauge that is at top. The part number doesn't look familiar and I did not see a data plate on the unit to give further information. This is an operational unit not a training device, so we're trying to find the model and installation aircraft for it. It was received NOS in its wrapping with all of the needed hardware to install it. The Remote Compass training boxes and Remote Compass gauge were part of the same donation, but not related.
