A 1950s ARS marked H-19B and HU-16B set. The ARS guys don't get their due in the warbird word for the risk...and sacrifices...they made in the post war era.

A Spitfire MK 24: the ultimate Spitfire! Clipped wings, Griffon engine... imagine the power in one of those! I'd probably go with the markings of one of the squadrons based in Hong Kong during the Korean War.

My second choice would be an F7F-3N Tigercat with the authentic radar in the nose. I would have John Ellis fly an acro routine in it, just like he used to fly in the Air Zoo Tigercat. Tigercats are pretty much the most b.a. twin engine plane out there

Hmmm...if I had to feed and maintain it? While my first choice would be a Corsair, they are a bit expensive and complex.
On my budget, still, a simple systemed aircraft with a radial would be most cost effective, so whichever of these had the most comfortable ( i.e. BIG) cockpit:
FM-2 or F4F-4
P-36
P-64
P-66
