Great shots- I will have to look at my pics since it appears that you took one of me while I taking one of you. I am in the orange shirt sitting in the door of the Huey.

Once I get home this evening I will take a loot at what I have downloaded from my camera.

I am- I need to do some work to shrink the files down before photobucket will take them so it may be a day or two. Not as many good shots as Tulio though

Here is a first pass at some of my rough shots- I am still learning how to use the new camera so the setting may not be quite right but hopefully I am getting better.

Will try to post some more when I get back in town in a few days.

Great photos guys! And thanks for the compliments on LSFM. We need to have a WIXer meeting point. I was on the tug crew and probably chatted with some of you. I was also taking a few pix around the flightline and from the VIP tent area.
One observation, most of the smaller aircraft that were parked around the corner from the public were privately owned birds, not the museum's. Steve, the sunset over the port wing is a fantastic photo. Looks like you're off to great start with your DSLR.

Blue skies,

Doug Ratchford, LSFM drawbar dragger.

Doug,

I should have been clearer in my original post -mea culpa - since I know that the aircraft around the corner, are privately owned.

Adding these aircraft -behind a roped or a fenced-off area, maybe?- to the other aircraft on the ramp, would have been IMHO an added bonus for the attending public. I got to see them all, though.

Saludos,

Tulio

Maybe so, Tulio, but Elroy 13, aka Ramp Boss Trae would be the one to discuss that with. There were a lot of changes this year, mostly due to the ride program/hot ramp.

Saludos,
Doug.

Really great photos. The Hurricane looks fabulous. It's nice to see a warbird paint that really has a period look and not just shiny. I almost got away to come down for that weekend, it looks like very good weather. I'm already looking forward to the spring airshow. It was great of LSFM to put my initials in the plane number!!!!!!

Rick, with that BG right in front of the 974, they must have had me in mind. All Hurricanes are important because of their service at a time when they were so desperately needed, but that one is special to me since I watched ti being restored over a 10 year period in Ray Middleton's shop, at Ft. Collins Co. (3V5) where my maintenance has been done for the 24 years I have owned my plane. I've got about an hour of cockpit time in it memorizing the gauges, layout, gear etc. I hope to see it flying off my wing this spring. Great photo report, Tulio.[/i]
