Excellent pictures :D

A warbird in Europe offering rides ? How can that be !

In addition, this PBY Catalina is a warbird gem of an airplane. It was credited with three confirmed U-Boat kills in WW2. I think that was a record number for any aircraft type and this is the very PBY.

Their website might be worth book marking if you ever be in the area .....

Bomberflight,
Actually PH-PBY, c/n2459 has Four confirmed U-boat kills, the most for a PBY. I believe the all-time leader was a Coastal Command Liberator with nine.

I've had a love affair with the PBY since I was a little boy. More than any other warbird, it always struck the romantic streak in my soul--I always imagined it flying off to strange and exotic places, from warm beaches to the frozen North....MMMM! Gonna fly in one one day!

Awesome photos! When was the last time you saw a PBY really in it's elements (both on the water and in the air)? :D

Pssst....Boots? Think that loverly lady's name is Esther ('least the patch on her flight suit sez so!)
