Apparently she had to sit outside the Orbiter Processing Facility on Thursday because of a broken hangar door. Some lucky tourists visitng Kennedy got a rare view of the shuttle sitting outside...

I was not near as close but did hear the twin sonic booms and
then was able to spot it flying (falling) towards KSC.
(pic below)

I always thought it came straight in, but it turned over the ocean to land into the wind.
