Hey folks,
I've trying to help some people find a DC-3 or similar for a studio production.
Here is a link to google maps showing a DC-3 fuse in Florence, SC. I saw this aircraft about 12 years ago. Might still be there. Some of those google photos are several years old . Looks like they are cleaning out the junkyard. Thought someone might be interested.

Gary might be interested.

Well, that's as long as there's still room on his petting zoo, snowmobile ride, water skiing, dinosaur park, lazer tag, bingo hall, vantrilaquism school.... Or whatever it's called.

Please pardon me if I got the name wrong.

Cheers,

David

Cubs,

There are several DC-3 / C-47s at the Rolla National Airport, Vichy, MO. These have been withdrawn from use and are in open storage there.

I do not have any contacts there.

Saludos,

Tulio

Well, the DC-3/C-47 nose at my place (whatever David called it  ) is no longer mine. I sold it to a collector up in the Northeast and he's going to pick it up in mid November. I suppose there's a possibility that he'd entertain the notion of someone using it for some studio work, but that's not my call. He lurks here, so I'm sure that if he's interested, he'll contact you.

Gary

About a year ago there was a DC-3 fuselage in the yard of a church in Waco. I have some photos of it, will try post them. It was really sad to see it in that condition. I wondered what the history of that old girl was, probably long and varied.
