An interesting thought just occurred to me.

Today will have been the first time this particular P-51 has seen air under its wings in the US since it was shipped overseas for active duty some 63 years ago!

I had a thought too Mike. If Twilight Tear and Princess end up in the Horseman Routine together, the last time they did so was at Duxford!

Oh and mustangdriver; Stephen Grey is the only European owner to bring his Mustang. Twilight will be going to Chino after the gathering for a full rebuild.

I believe the Real Aeroplane Company Mustang was coming over as well, not sure if it did or not though. Any news on it. Its still on the GML2007 website.

I had read that the decision to bring her over was reversed, due to a potential change in ownership. Not sure if that still stands

The Boss and entourage are in route to Columbus as of 5:30 PM.
It will be so quiet here without Peter, Fred, Chris, Greg and Achmed.
Actually, now I can my bloody work done!

Not yet; discharge nozzle went bad while at the Gathering. Sam Tabor was kind enough to come yesterday and fix her and I'm heading Sunday to get her and bring her "home" to Coatesville. Then when the weather and my work schedule permits I'll take her to Chino. Jim

It would have come over but was sold as is now with the new owners in Germany.
