Well, it is just that the scale of the plane compared to the aircraft on the deck seemed a bit off, but hey, I am no expert.

Cool looking shot either way.

I can report with 100% certainty that in 1979, an MC-130E flew down the deck of the USS Nimitz, dumped 7 rolls of toilet paper on it, & chaffed the deck!

I once heard a similar story, but it was a C-47 and the ship was the training carrier USS Wolverine in Lake Michigan. As a joke the pilot set up for a landing..apparently the ship was flashing every light and firing flares like crazy until the pilot aborted the approach. Maybe a "sea story," but funny nonetheless.

Actually the scale works out nicely, Jesse...the length of the Ranger is
almost 7-times the length of a '52...by the thumb, it's quite close.
