What kind of maneuvers do they perform besides formation for skytyping?

And what is a "belly flop"? :?

The West coast Skytypers use Grumman Tigers now, but I don't think they do airshows.

Formation flying. Some of the same flying cadets were trained in WWII. Pretty cool bunch of guys. Ya gotta love the SNJ-2.

I'm very sorry to learn that Jan perished in this accident... my thoughts are with his teammates and family. I plan to visit the show tomorrow, and would like to offer my thanks to them for their efforts to provide a safe and entertaining performance, year after year.

As someone else astutely pointed out, this has been a really rough year. :(
