well, it was a great shocks & gear test, glad the operator had the relexes to avoid a prang. that's why i shy away from r.c. modeling....... months of time & $$$$ with a possibilty of augering it in within minutes. it takes bravery to do r.c.!!!

Uhhh...that's not an R/C model...I think it's probably a "WAR" 1/2 scale homebuilt aircraft...with a living, breathing pilot onboard. One who could have been injured or worse. But, like Shay said, good thing it's not the real thing. :roll:

Congrats to who ever the driver was, that's how you do a go around. That what the Black Mustang should have done, but we wouldn't have had that lovely voice then :wink:

I used to own and fly a large scale R/C Corsair model (86" wingspan) and it would do exactly the same thing if I tried to land it 3-point unless the landing was an absolute greaser. Once the bouncing started you either went around or ended up on the nose! Wheel landings were no sweat so that's what I did. I knew at least 2 other guys who flew the same model and had the very same issues so it was not just my technique. (or lack there of!) I didn't have to experience it from the drivers seat though! :)

Actually I'm glad that Black Mustang didn't do that. I think punching the throttle would have made that video end worse than it did. Imagine how much more annoying that woman would have been had that Mustang incident ended even worse than it did! :shock:

My 90" span P-47 does the same thing. I can't tell you how many times i've had to re fiberglass the cowl after skidding on the nose from anything less than a 3 point landing. Oh yeah, 22" props for Zenoah G-62's get expensive!
