The B-24 gets its tire back....hopefully it worked, we left before it was reinstalled. And, Mr Greenwoods spitfire made an appearance for the "airport day" on the 4th.

So how many Boy Scouts and CAP Cadets did you have to stuff in the tail of the B-24 this time? ;-)

Nice shot of the B-24. Shows you a little about what goes happens out on the road. The Spitfire is cool too.

Thanks guys...well, for Ryan...we had Goolsby, Walsh and a couple others in there before Jeremy put to bottle jacks under the axle...then chained the tail strut to a tie down. The storm that rolled through FC was pretty spectacular, the lightning show was beautiful.

The photos are nice, but to claify the airport its not really at Ft. Collins, it is closer to Loveland, and is FNL, named Ft. Collins Loveland. The town of Ft. Collins about 12 miles north had its own airport, currently closed, 3V5 and is where Ray Middleton's shop as well as Darell Skurich did a lot of great restorations. Sometimes, there is not much "truth in labeling" of airports. Vail resorts talk abouit flying in there, without mentioning that there is no airport at Vail. Steamboat has a nice airport, but no airline service. To get to both you have to fly to another town and drive or bus over.
