At the Cavanaugh event over the weekend prior to July 4th, in between the rain and the flying, Taylor and I had a bit of fun with the Sherman.

Taylor driving, me as tank commander making sure he doesn’t reverse over anything/anybody.

Taylor pulling the trigger on the main gun. I’m inside taking care of the loading, etc.

Taylor firing main gun again. I’m still inside taking care of the loading, etc.

(I have to keep a low profile.... Foreign national...37 ton tank....big gun....gunpowder.....people jumping to conclusions....misinformed public.....immigration officials.....ATF....etc, etc  )

If you want to read one of the best books about the actual workings of a WWII, Sherman stocked, Armor Unit, do yourself a favor and read Belton Cooper's, "Death Traps".
Amazing read and it'll make you believe that every guy who ever rode a Sherman into combat was a hero, in every sense of the word!
