E-2C HAWKEYE (This is Cool)

Sun Nov 26, 2006 10:02 am

I was surfing the net as I generally am and stumbled across these videos made by the fine men and women of the E-2C Hawkeye Squadron the VAW-116 SUN KINGS

It's nice to see them take a break and let loose from the seriousness of the work that they do.

I dig how the the guys towards the end of the video are playing keyboards on CYZ-10's (or Crazy-10, if you worked with them) while doing a keymat transfer.

This is also by the SUN KINGS

I really dig the flyby in this one.

I have a soft spot for the E-2C Hawkeye. While being station at old NAS Norfolk for several years, even through it's disestablishment. I got to see the Hawkeyes from the VAW-123 SCREWTOPS and the VAW-124 BEAR ACES all the time. Not to mentioned living just off base they buzzed my house daily along with the C-2's. (sigh) Man I miss it. :D

Not meaning to be a smarta**, but wasn't this site where I found the link to this video a while back? I had been trying to find it again for quite some time.

Talk about a significant mile marker in your Naval career.

I think this LT. will always remember the time he riffed his guitar on the fantail / aft flightdeck of USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN CVN- 72
