Ain't nuthin more to say....the pics speak for themselves....if ya never got to this show.....ya just have NO way of knowing what you were missing...

Jerry Hayes old P-51 'Stump Jumper', Denver- based....wondered when I'd see that on here....Jerry used to tell me how he had to call Howard all the time in his Corsair and ask Howard to throttle back cuz the Corsair would run away from the Mustang on cruise setting going to airshows....

Jimmy Macmillan (I don't think I spelled the last name correctly?) a Great story about Jimmy. One year at Reno he had brought out the Spad and was parked next to the Tired Iron Team, I can't mention Names BUT one evening after he left for the hotel seems somebody took a 5 gallon bucket of old oil and poured it down the front of the engine cowling as it spread out under the engine it appeared as though Jimmy had a BAD engine leak. Oh the look on his Face the next morning, PRICELESS !

Excwllent shots....Thanks for the memories!!!!!!
I don't remember which year it was, but I was in the middle of shooting Kermits Mosquito when a line of P-51s taxied out. Well, it seen that the line came to a stop and someone locked the brakes and put a 51 on it's nose. I have pics somewhere. Anyone remember which one it was?

Yep.... that was Mickey Rupp that had to jump on the brakes when a homebuilt biplane lost a tailwheel on taxi out. Dont think Mr. Rupp saw him until the last second so he hit the brakes and caught the prop. Dad and I heard the "bang" of the prop hitting and looked over and saw the tail of the Mustang coming down. I have pics of the bent prop blades on Old Crow.

I have it in a 8X10 somewhere. Remember the year that someone was walking around with a green Quaker Parrot, it was a hoot. It would play dead in his hand. It was the same year that Lad & Jim Cavanaugh brought over the 109 & P-51 and flew together. Sea Fuzzy was there as well. I just came across these photo's. Always something at Breck to make it special. I still to this day on Memorial Day Weekend, Friday night I want fried catfish and on Saturday night its BBQ. Don't know where it came from???

I have a shot somewhere of a guy with a green parrot on his shoulder! Never knew it was Rupp, tho.....musta been the same year as the 109/P-51 Cavanaugh combo as I remember that too...maybe '95?
