Where do I make my reservation for a ride in the backseat and what's the ticket price?
Mudge the serious

Mudge poses an interesting question! I've flown aboard bombers and trainers, but never a fighter. I'm just up the road from Addison. Hmmm... how are my chances?
Cheers!

And that means what in
English?
If you don't like the scheme, feel free to pay for a repaint. As it's not your aircraft, it's not otherwise up to you.
The Royal Australian Navy didn't operate two-seaters (they did, of course, operate single seaters which is what this scheme represents); neither did the Texan Air Force operate one in the Texan flag scheme; it's just the owner's choice. However I'm sure they'll take your well thought-out and articulate view on board.
However, IMHO, there's nothing wrong with a roo or maple leaf painted Sea Fury in the USA.

Sabrepilot, it also didn't fly originally with an R3350 and while being English I would much prefer to see it with a Centaurus up front, I understand the reasons behind the change (reliability and spares) and would rather see it fly. The Aussie and Canuck Sea Furies looked great - if I had one I'd paint it like that too.

O.G.,
Doug Is CAM bringing anything to Lackland this weekend. You coming?
The P-40 is already at Lackland, however as you should be aware, this weekend is one of the most important in the Great State of Texas and I'll be else ware. I am offended at your lack of acknowledgment to the importance of this weekend and feel that you should banish yourself from the state. Especially as you live in the heart of the celebration. The one time that airshows must step aside.
as for the paint scheme... The paint is in good condition and a repaint is not in the works for now. We will be adding a few things to make it more authentic. As others have said, representing the RAN it does draw alot of interest and opens the chance to talk about what the "Aussies" have done.

You got that right Doug ! The Aggies are going to Beat the H#ll outa OU !!
That is what you meant, right ?

Oh my. Isn't that nice...
I haven't been to Texas in 14 years. If there's the prospect of aviating in the back seat of my favourite "aeroplane", I may have to make a long-delayed return visit...
Re the livery worn by this T.20, it's not quite right but who cares! (For the record, the basic double-grey scheme is Canadian--the other navies operating Furies all used variations of the RN EDSG/Sky scheme--while the markings are mid-fifties Australian. Neither navy operated T.20s.)
Were she mine, I'd replace the kangaroos with maple leaves (RCN style) since the rest of the scheme is so close to the later RCN finish, which like the late RAN had "NAVY:1**" coding on the sides. But she's not mine and never will be. There is the matter of a ride someday though, maybe...I hope I hope I hope...
Cheers
