I know of the following: the Palm Springs Air Museum, Yanks, USAF Museum, Fantasy of Flight (currently on display in Lakeland,Fl), NASM, Pima and Lackland AFB. I know the CAF has 2 but I dont know if they are on display. Did I miss any? Is there one at the Planes of Fame in Chino? Is Frank Borman's on display someplace?

No, unfortunately.

The awesome P-63 that Frank Borman had restored is currently owned by John Bagley, Rexburg, Idaho, and is actively flown at airshows. I saw him fly an aerobatics routine with it at an airshow at Hayden, Idaho about a month and a half ago.

Pat, just to let you know there is also one over in the Tillamook Air Museum. I was just talking with Mr. Pilgram about it. It is still sitting there. That is one more I know about. Hope this helps. I do not know the N number though. Sorry, others on here with more solid information might be able to help out more.

Pat--
A museum it ain't...but there's a P-63A fuselage and centre section in sad condition in Walt Soplata's collection in Ohio. (Or at least there was; it didn't "escape" as far as I know. Randy H--did you see it when you were there in '02?)

Pat:
Another P-63E parts, ctr fuselage/wings are in storage at Gosshawk Aviaton. AZ. This is the poss 43-11730. A front section of P-63E 43-11731 is also in storage for poss restoration. Both are X- D. Chavatal birds.
One more P-63E sample is located at the AF Museum in Ohio, S/N 43-11728. If you know of someone close to Pima Air Museum, I'm interested in getting close-up pictures of the outside ID plates of their P-63E, S/N 43-11727. Tks
