This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

We have just picked next years theme.
We will be doing a salute to the B-25s, like we did for the B-17s.
This should turn out to be the largest gathering of B-25s. (catch 22 had 18?)
We have started talking to most of the owners, and have 20 lined up at this time with a few more to be added. (most should make it, like the B-17 year, I would guess 75%)
We are still not sure on the dates yet, as some of the aircraft might not be available on our first weekend of August.
We will keep you posted.

Thanks for the update Mike. I'll be looking forward to that for sure! Of course if a few A-26s were to show up I wouldn't be disappointed either.

Wow! That'll be great! I remember some time in the 1990s there were eight B-25s present at the Breckenridge (Texas) show, which was claimed to be the largest gathering since Catch 22 was filmed. All eight flew in the show, too! It was quite a sight.
Cheers!

Love the Mitchell!
The VAC show in the late 80's had eight or nine B-25's. It was great.
I hope I can make Thunder in '07!

Wow, that is fantastic. With 20 currently lined up that leaves about 14 left. Correct?

Hmmm,
sounds like alot of round engines filling the sky. 20 you say lined up so far ? Holy Cow.....how many are flyable in the country ? Better still, will the Canadian contingent be bringing any ? This certainly does have all the hallmarks of a great show...and it's only October !!!

GREAT CHOICE! Already a must attend.
Between Thunder and The Mustang Gathering, 2007 will be the Great North American Summer.

Oh baby, I'm in!!! (I was wondering if there was any event that could drag me back north, this will be it.)
The B-17 gathering was special, but this should be freakin awesome.
Good job.

Excellent news Mike. Your last B-25 round up was pretty cool and this will really top that one.

Fresno Calif. May 12th 2001.
Eleven out of twelve of the B-25's in attendance were able to get in the air together. It was an awesome sight.

One of the festivities next year should be movie night with what else but a viewing of Catch 22. It would be fun to watch it on the airfield, like EAA theater in the woods. Have some popcorn and either cheer or jeer for the syndicate. Maybe even sell tickets in the form of 1 share.
