My brother brought his photo home - somewhere between FOB Lima and Baghdad I believe - quite an interesting collection of planes there! It seems like someone else has posted a similar picture like this one?

Oh that is cool. That's another different Fury survivor, too: the one that went to the UK was a two-seater, and the three other ISSs I'd seen pix of were range targets/decoys, not airpark displays like this one. Hope these defy the odds (remembering what the locals did to the Baghdad Museum's reserve store, never mind LGBs!) and survive...

Is that a Hawker Hunter almost directly below the Fury? I wondered about the smaller one to the left as well. Could someone with more wisdom identify the specifics on the MIG/Sukoi collection?

Soviet jets aren't my forte, but this grouping appears to be, from left to right, two MiG-15s, a MiG-17, a Sukhoi Su22 or maybe the fixed-wing -7, and an early mark MiG-21 (maybe an F).

The jet partially visible below the Fury and Provost is indeed a Hunter; Iraq had lots of those...but unfortunately most were decoys by this time and accordingly are no longer extant!

I wonder what the other stuff is: what look like SAMs or something next to the MiG-21, and left of the Hunter is that some sort of transport or bomber type partially visible?

AN-2 cub below mig 21 with a big helicopter below cub , Hind ?
Left of Hunter is a Piago ??? Italian Executive jet ?

To the left of the Hunter looks like the nose of a Lockheed Jetstar. Lockheed was famous for putting that big blade VHF antenna right above the cockpit on the Jetstar. The nose length and cockpit window pattern look the same as well. Just my guess though.

That other aerial shot certainly clarifies things: funny how you don't see something obvious like an An2 when it's parked facing an unexpected direction! I'm seeing wingtips, etc, and "seeing" droptanks or missiles because of the direction they're facing relative to the neat circle of fighters...And the thingy next to the Hunter does appear to be a Piaggio Royal Gull or similar. Your aerial provokes another question though. The odd angular structure at lower left...Museum building perchance??
