I'd love to see that A-26 restored in its current configuration (On Mark conversion?). Isn't it one of, if not THE last Invader remaining in that config?

On Mark B-26K "Counter Invader"

This B-26K (N4988N) is the last airworthy, privately owned B-26K. Other "Counter Invaders" are on display at various museums across the US. It was offered for sale on eBay about a year ago, without a succesful bidder.

I agree, it would be a scoop to see a K model on the airshow circuit.

PS: Some prefer to call this model the A-26A... couldn't disagree more though I believe it is the official USAF designation...

Seem to remember the price tag back then was USD 175000. Wonder how much you have to pay for it now? If it continues like this, I will be able to afford it in 25 years or so!

I too hope that someone will restore the old gal, and start flying her on the show circuit. Does anyone have a clue when the plane actually last flew?

I would love to see a B-26K restored, I think the K model is one of the coolest looking Invaders

Totally agreed. Make sure to put it up in the CIA colors from Operation Wigmo with the menacing bull on the nose. That should turn quite a few faces at airshows!
