Warbirds in NH and Maine?

Tue Aug 01, 2006 12:09 pm

I'll be vacationing in late August along the coast of New Hampshire and Maine. Just wondering if anyone knew of good aviaiton places to see besides Owl's Head?

Not warbirds, but two of the four surviving Lockheed L-1649A Starliners are located at the Auburn-Lewiston, Maine, airport, at the NE corner of the field.

I'm planning to see them when I'm up there in about 2 weeks.

Also the B-17 "Liberty Belle" will be in Portland the 12-15th of August.

There are a bunch of crash sites in Maine and NH.

NH has a B-18 in the white Mountains. Maine has a B-52 scattered all over a few square minles if I recall correctly.
