It's the last airworthy Stearman used to train Tuskegee pilots so it has a significant history. The only other survivor is the Smithsonian's example.

FYI, the Smithsonian's Tuskegee Stearman has been on loan to the New England Air Museum for quite a number of years now. So it seems new England has two Tuskegee PT's!
