B-29 Fifi status?

Fri Apr 25, 2025 11:56 am

Several CAF AirPower History Tour stops in May-Jun have been cancelled. Further they say Fifi won't be attending Reading, so I assume that is the reason for the cancellation of the other stops. Anybody know what's going on with Fifi?

Update:
"As guardians of one of the world’s only flying B-29 Superfortresses, we take safety and stewardship seriously. During preseason engine checks, our maintenance team discovered that engines 2 and 4 need further work. As a result, we’re delaying the start of the 2025 AirPower History Tour to ensure FIFI remains airworthy and safe for all.
We expect to be back in the skies by late June, with our first stop in Lexington, KY. In the meantime, the team is hard at work both here in Dallas and on the road, doing everything possible to return FIFI to flight — the right way.
This delay comes with real financial impact. If you believe in the importance of keeping history alive and in the air, we could use your help. Please consider making a donation to support the aircraft, the mission, and the crew working around the clock to make it all happen.
