P-36 replica

Thu Feb 27, 2025 1:13 pm

The forum has been a bit quiet lately, so I hope you don't mind a entry on a replica...

A firm has announced a new homebuilt, 70%/scale (by wingspan) P-36.
Powered by a 124hp radial, its top speed is 135 mph. With a GW of 1200 lbs, it fits in the LSA category.
It has fixed gear.

Most interesting us they are developing a P-40 variant of the basic design (just like Curtiss did).
They've been flying a prototype which was displayed at Oshkosh, and have several "beta" test ships in production.

Might be neat to have a group of mini P-40s out there.
