This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

[*]From Facebook, apparently the A-20 suffered an in-flight mechanical issue and landed on her belly. It sounds like Stewart Dawson was flying and received minor injuries.

That really sucks. Hope Mr. Dawson recovers quickly and then they can tend to repairing the Havoc.

I wish him a speedy recovery...

I certainly hope he makes a complete recovery back to flight status. As for the plane, it looks like it could at least be a static display or maybe a donor to get other A-20s back in the air. Maybe more pictures will show what the plane looks like.

This was the Havoc that was donated through will to the NASM, but the family apparently took issue and this was returned. Would looked real nice at Udvar Hazy...

Plane will be restored to flight. It has already been assessed.

That's good news.
As the sole airworthy A-20, we should applaud Mr. Lewis' decision to repair and re-fly.

That's great news to hear. Rod is certainly putting his money where his mouth is.
