I liked that episode. It appears that William Conrad actually knew his way around a Browning .30 caliber machine gun, and from "real world" experience, not practice for filming a scene.

I've watched that episode many times...mainly because of the P-51 footage. I recall one take off where the Mustang is at a distance coming towards the camera, and the tail comes up and bobs quite a bit before settling down.
