"Been told a Private Collector in California."

Anyone have any guesses who has the pockets deep enough and interested in a 4 engine bomber to fly?

That was my guess, didn't think he was in it for a "heavy" though.

I can't say I'd heard of him until he bought the ex- Rod Lewis Mosquito FB. VI PZ474.

You have to admire someone with the taste to own a Mosquito (yes, I've seen 633 Squadron too often).

Does he have a large staff?
I would expect with a B-17 he'll need one unless he just wants to look at it.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I wish him well with his new acquisition.

I wonder how many members have decided to leave Yankee because of the sale?

Anyone have any current updates on her status/whereabouts? I know they were mentioning that it would leave around early August when the overhauled prop was returned. Is it still at YIP?

I caught a glimpse of her in mid July, I was wondering if she was still in MI too

I can guarantee you , as soon as all four engines are running and it's taxying to leave , there will be 100 posts on Facebook about it and one here too.
