Saw this movie again on YT (filmed in late 1962), and noticed something in this shot as Robert Hutton lands his Cessna at Whiteman Airport:

A few frames later:

Definitely a derelict Beech AT-10 between the Bamboo Bombers. Looks like a company name just below the two-tone separation. Anyone have clearer photos of it?
Also note the large midwing single-engine job above the cockpit of the AT-10 - maybe an O-47?

Well spotted!
Another possible guess on the background aircraft (based on the landing gear geometry), maybe a TBM?
Playing the odds, there were/are more TBMs out there than a lot of other types.
It's a pity all the Cessna T-50s went away, nice looking aircraft.
The lighter one on the left looks like it has the Sky King paint scheme. It was owned by Paul Mantz during the filming in the early '50s, so if it is (a big if), it could have ended up there.
It reportedly still survives as paperwork/parts/project.
