Access to NAS Pensacola for this weekend March 25/26

Mon Mar 20, 2023 8:28 am

In what may be a long term loosening of the bases restrictions on visitors, PNAS will be open for access to the Lighthouse and the NMNA. All that is required is an official government issued photo ID card such as a drivers license. It's only for this weekend; but, rumors have it that this is a test run. Also, no firearms are permitted. Access, I believe is for the West Gate near the museum and lighthouse.

Lots of us carry daily. But accessing a Gov't facility is usually a no firearms zone.

The firearm mention was sort of tongue in cheek. However, it is true for most military installations.

The world's gone mad: 99% of the civilised world wouldn't even think of such a thing.
