USS Franklin CV-13, 78 years ago ...

My dad was flying with VF-13 a couple of months before this tragedy happened, but remembered it well.

USS Franklin CV-13 hit by two bombs.

Just released today, an interesting video by Drachinifel, a naval historian in the U.K., on the history of the USS Franklin. You likely know most of the information, but there is some footage that you might not have seen before.

My great-uncle Gerry was there.

He's mentioned in this article.

My Uncle was on the Franklin that day as well. He was in the mess hall and made his way up top side.

Pretty famous ship. Lots of history. Worthy of being saved!
