Wow! What a looker! I doubt this will last long on the market and get snatched by someone. Hopefully that will fly it.

Very cool project! It is worth noting though, this is built around a Stearman fuselage. New wings and tail group, and he's done A LOT of work to re-shape the fuselage formers and such but at heart it isn't an F4B. Still, extremely cool!

Would it be more appropriate for this to be advertised as a reproduction F4B built around a Stearman fuselage?

This seemed to remind me of something similar but different. Randy

If it has new wings and tail..and drastically modified fuselage, I'm not sure if there is a lot of Stearman left.

So we are left with the old question, what gives an aircraft its identity?

A F4B lookalike, or facsimile? It looks pretty good but the challenge with a project like this is that you need a new owner who appreciates and accepts the choices the previous owner made in creating this one-off. Still... it would be good to see it fly!

Replica vs. Authentic, that's a huge deal and the seller needs to say it's a replica. However, maybe the builder has found and incorporated a few original items, like instruments , or control stick, for example. There was someone selling some original speed rings recently. That would be a nice touch. Is it 100% true to size or a scaled replica? IF it isn't 100% in size then it is only worth a fraction of a real or full sized replica.
The WW II era guys really loved the F$B/P-12 because that was the first line fighter of their youth. Those guys are gone. The seller should accept whatever offers are forthcoming and move the project along. It appears to have been sitting for a few decades. Unfortunately, unfinished it's worth a lot less than what they think it's worth. There have been a couple of other full scale replicas using a Stearman frame as a basis. At least it has some Boeing provenance, LOL.

How would one go about getting an Airworthiness Certificate for it?

It's a cute replica, and I feel like anyone seriously interested in buying would make the effort to find out what it really is. It's not as if there are a lot of barn find F4Bs that it plausibly could be.

Would be great fun to see at an airshow, or anyway some imaginary airshow where the 30s types are featured.
