HUP-2 Retreiver symbols & CH-21 logo

Trying to figure out the ribbon symbols on a HUP, and also a unit logo for a CH-21(Washington DC unit?) anyone have a clue? Rescues maybe? Thanks.

It is the emblem of United States Army Military District of Washington. I recognized the Washington Monument!

To me the "ribbons" look like the slings used to hoist a person onboard during a rescue. The top part looks like a set of wings placed on top of the sling possibly signifying that the rescuee was flown to safety.

In the '60s, H-21s were stationed at Bolling or Andrews.
They were used as VIP transport (and possibly emergency evacuation) and one with a nice blue and white scheme ended up at the scrap yard across from the interstate from the Pima Museum.I

It, or one of it's squadronmates, achieved some game by flying Robert Kennedy, then the attorney general...and under extra security, to Andrews to meet the VC-137 arriving from Dallas.

They were replaced by CH-3Es with similar paint.

The ribbon symbols remind me off a diaper tied with a bow that a stork would carry.

Another in agreement that the "loops" are rescue missions but I'd offer that the "wings" are just part of the marking, specifically the ends of the loop (see the stork's payload). Otherwise it would just be an oblong oval.

On the right side of the top left insignia, it looks like the tip is swept up and has three ruffles (can't think of a better word) where feathers would be overlapping when a birds wing is extended. I'm also seeing the same thing on the left side of the third insignia. A good example of what I'm trying describe is the pilot's wings in my avatar.
