Oh man, that's an AMAZING book... thank you for sharing this, I definitely need to get a copy for my library. (My great-grandfather was a flight instructor for the Air Service between 1917-1918, so anything on US airpower from that time is of immediate interest to me)

Cool find! Interesting that they were dreaming of a flying car over 100 years ago.

That is an incredible book and thank you for sharing. That was a period when people were willing to build many designs that worked or failed and how far we have come in that 100 years.
Also very interesting is the map depicting the states. Not very many roads depicted on the map and many of the cities shown were bypassed by the Interstate system and the towns really suffered.

Wow. That map shows a surprising number of very small towns, like Saluda, NC.
