Just wow. Pretty sweet ride I am sure. I had not known how long the intakes stayed closed - looks like into the takeoff roll before they open. I met Isaacson when Black Diamond Jet team performed in Wendover a few years back.

Also noticed the F-100 sitting parked at the end!

So sad I never got to see this when it was in Everett. I did a Fulcrum drawing in pen and ink, back when the only photos I could use were, shall we say, from source I can't cite even today? I had to sketch from the photos in a single room and that was it. Year later when books came out, I was happy that I'd got it so close.
I need to do a better scan of this, though... After the info I used was declassified, I was going to do this as a lithograph signed by Alexander Zuyev, but sadly he died in that plane crash soon afterward.

The only Fulcrums I've ever seen in the air were at the tail end of the cold war, at an extreme distance, from the Austrian border. I've only ever been next to a real one once, the gutted example sitting outside the Evergreen museum building.

I knew that Mr. Sessions had flown the Mig-29 when he owned it, but everything I've read indicated that it was always with an instructor. Are you sure he has solo time? If he did, that is news to me.

That's what I was thinking. As far as I know, Mr. Sessions is not a jet guy at all, or if he is, he has very little experience in high performance tactical jets. This is not a knock against him at all, it just appears like he doesn't have the background or experience necessary to fly that aircraft solo. I've talked to pilots who have flown the Mig-29 and they have told me that unless you have a background as a military fighter pilot or have extensive high performance jet experience, the Mig-29 will kill you in a hurry. It's not a jet for the novice or inexperienced and is many magnitudes harder to fly than say, an F-16, they tell me.

Not sure of the individual, but Pride Aircraft had a pair of Sukhoi Su-27 Flankers. I believe they were sold but I don't know who bought them.

There was a grainy image published a couple of years ago apparently showing an Su27 taking part in a DACT/Aggressor exercise in the US, the suggestion being that the Pride aircraft were purchased either by the US Govt or a contractor.
