SITREP: Whats in progress

Just a quick note.

I was able to recover about 6,000 e-mails from the 2010-2015 period, which includes about 4-5000 images. I'm in the process of cataloging them all and it is taking some time.

Just wanted to let you know that while there isn't much progress apparent, there is a bunch of behind the scenes stuff going on.

Speaking of which. The future of the forum. After numerous attempts I have reached an wall in regards to upgrading the forum. There is too big of a gap in software versions to upgrade too and I have to switch servers to do it. But I'm in a catch-22 situation. I need the new server to update but I need to update the software on the old server before I can do it. But the old server can't update. So...

the result is that the upgrade is on hold... for now. We will continue with the current software until I can figure out a solution.

Also, I'm back working full time so time for the site is reduced.

So hang in there. We've been going for nearly 25 years and will continue to do so.

No hurry to change forum software. I like it as it is, because it is convenient. I just do not look anymore at the Flypast forum after they changed the format... just a pain to read and browse.
