These are interesting for the notations, supposedly by John Crewdson:

The notes on the back of this photograph read, "the excellent handiwork of our [underlined] Les the chief engineer of FAS (& co) - wired up by fishing tackle/piano wire - he jumped out at the last moment and steered it by the above means into a petrol tanker - a real bang!"

(Same seller has a signed letter from Hamish Mahaddie with a rather pointed remark about Crewdson. :shock: )

Pics of the 'staged prangs' from the movie would be a more accurate description.
