Great photo , I am guessing they where both taxying and sort of merged and kept taxying a bit.
Maybe one was looking left and one was looking right ?
Anyway that's my guess

I agree with A68. I'm guessing they were taxiing side-by-side and merged. The right bird's left wing entered the others space just forward of the vertical avoiding damage to the fin.

I'm trying to work out how the VHF aerial on the left one appears to be undamaged, while the top of its fin/rudder appears untouched. That's a lot of wing to insert in that gap without touching any of these bits.

This has my vote, although looking at the ground around the wheels, it seems more likely that the left Hurry was the one sliding ? Tough to say, but I don't see any other way that the wing got so precisely between the fin and antenna without damaging either.

I was looking at the tire witness marks..or the lack of them , as well. In the first pic both a/c appear to be tracking forward indicated by the surface snow in the near Hurri. No pileup of snow along the side of the tires indicating sideways motion. No sideways tracking thru the rough surface snow to the left side. I suppose the damaged aileron bits could just blow away with ya'lls prairie wind theory...and if ya'll think 'm wrong, then..then..you're just a bunch of BIG STUPIDS. (classic three snaps in a Z, spin and flouncing exit!)

Both aircraft have the flaps down, suggesting they were both on the landing roll rather than just taxiing. Perhaps the first was turning off at the end of the landing roll and the second couldn't stop and slid sideways into it? Looks like the kind of accident that would be hard to do even if you meant it!

Neat to see the two different types of propeller hubs.
Some differences in the cowls as well. Glare shields on the L/H machine only.
Definitely going to be some 'splainin' to do.
