The 'goings' & 'comings' of a Hancock Helldiver ...

The first two photos will give you an idea of what the view was like from an SB2C Helldiver gunners position launching off the deck of the US Navy carrier USS Hancock (CV-19) in 1944.

The third photo gives you the pilots view preparing to line up for a carrier landing.
