What a glorious piece of engineering...sure would love to hear the H-24 in the wild. One of our Brit friends on the Flypast forum said...in effect..."There were no engineers available to get the Napier Sabre running again as those chaps had long ago all been shuffled off to the looney houses due to the demands of keeping the beast in service."

Fascinating!
Also I draw technical illustrations for my work, so it's doubly of interest.

Mark, you are a legend!! Those pics are awesome, love the one of the truck & display engine, fascinating insight into a unique engine!

Well done Mark, as usual lovely pictures. Thank goodness that the jet engine came along just when the engines using propellers were hitting problems with power and reliability.

Yer welcome...imagine all that motion going on internally at almost 4000 rpm in the Mk VII? A few grains of sand or a healthy backfire and the wheels come off the cart..
