Civilian F24 Spitfire VN322 N7929A....

I am looking for any more information about this apparently the only civilian painted Spitfire with a US registration.
There is one account that describes the colors as 'cream with a green stripe' and another account that says its 'cream with a red stripe', but all pictures I've found are B&W.
There is also some disagreement whether it has a matching color or silver color spinner.

As the guy who made the sim scheme, I can say that that shouldn't be used as a reference for anything! I have no idea what color this bird was, but do share your appreciation for ex-military birds in civil schemes.

Thanks for doing the sim, hope its okay I posted it.

There are pictures that show the spinner may be a lighter/different color than the stripe.

I seem to remember ther was an articl about this Spitfire in Warbirds International or Air Classics a little while ago.

I made quite a study of the aircraft N7929A and chased her for a while. The best information I got was found just after my Air Classics article and it said Fairbrother had painted her in an emerald green and cream paint scheme just before she was sold to Peter Freytag. The spinner appears to be bare metal, but polished. During my search for the plane, I had to do one in 1/32 scale during the search and this is a representation of the aircraft, albeit with the Griffon 58 contraprop setup that would be easiest to do should a project go forward. This was a shot before the model was finished, but how I think she may have looked. I will try and get another pic for you when I get home if you want.
