Good News. Looks like they are planning to revive the "Trade and Exchange" program in order to try to recover and preserve what's out there.

As deep as those things are, it will require buckets of money to go get them. But if someone is there and equipped to do so, they should get as many of them as possible because it is most likely a one-and-done effort. This is an excellent opportunity for the Navy to obtain some super-rare/combat vet/extinct aircraft while also giving us the opportunity to eventually (possibly) see more Navy aircraft in the air. The SBDs in Lake Michigan need to come up, the TBDs need to be recovered, and while they're at the Lex it would be fantastic to snag the combat vet Wildcats as well. But I'm spending someone else's money here not mine. But the deep water recoveries and the Lake Michigan wrecks present some incredible opportunities. I am just grateful the Navy museum is willing to start considering this again.
