While researching pilots who trained at Greenville Army Airfield, MS, in an effort to identify a pilot who flew a particular BT-13, I made contact with the son (Dave) of a Greenville instructor pilot, Lt Col Roy L. Scott. While going through his father's memorabilia, he came across these two pieces and was kind enough to share them (and stated it's okay to share with others). A couple great pieces of artwork generated during the war. The artist of "Instrument Pilot" is unknown. The artist of "The Cavemens' Bomber, B-1" was Lloyd Ostendorf (the Abe Lincoln historian Lloyd Ostendorf) and is dated 7 Aug 1944.

Love the "Cavemens' Bomber" - I can imagine Fred and Barney at the controls in that WWI Flintstones ep.

I would imagine many "Class books" have similar art.
Does anyone here collect them?

I don't know my dad's class number, I believe it was in '43. At any rate, his graduation photo that we have certainly looks like the style seen in the '43 book (leather jacket and helmet).
It's fun to see what the place was like in training...and in the 44 book, a shot of a typical dorm room.
Somewhat disappointingly (but not surprisingly as I'm sure PT-22s weren't seen as particularly interesting) not many photos of aircraft.
