LAKE BOGA DISPOSALS

RAAF flying boats sold as scrap from RAAF Lake Boga, Victoria after the Second World War
This article looks at the Catalinas, Dorniers, PBMs and Kingfishers that were left behind, unsold and unwanted, which were passed on to the Department of Aircraft Production for disposal. What happened to them and how they were re-used.

Dave:

Thanks for posting the file on Lake Boga! Sad but great photo documentation on the disposition of the Lend-Lease flying boats. Presumably the six RAAF Sunderland's met the same fate.

Geoff Goodall also has an OUTSTANDING file on the Douglas DC-5
