Any A-6E or KA-6D Restoration Projects?

Sat Dec 15, 2018 6:58 pm

I've come across an original technical/maintenance manual for flight control systems for the A-6E TRAM and KA-6D dated 1991, and would like to get it into the hands of a restoration project that might be able to use it. Its hundreds of pages and ~3.5inches thick. I'll donate it to a 501c3 restorer.

Feel free to email me 2banaviator@gmail.com.

Have you ever thought of possibly scanning the manual in and posting it as a downloadable file?
You could still give the original to a museum, but the material would be available to more people...
I have a set of similar manuals for DC-10/ KC-10 aircraft that I would be willing to do that with....of course, there is a lot more material to scan....

Unfortunately, this manual would require about a week of time to scan... its probably close to 1000 pages with multi-page foldouts.
I'll have to leave that task to the next owner, I'm afraid!

Thanks for the suggestion, though. If you know anyone who is willing to do the scanning, let me know!

There had been a request from the folks at the Quonset Point Museum had been requesting someone come get the A-6 there. Not sure what ever became of that or what T/M/S A-6 it was.
