Looking for a Friend - Korean C-46s

Tue Nov 06, 2018 2:53 pm

Does anyone know of, or have contacts and resources to find out more information about Curtis C-46 Commandos in Republic of Korea / Korean Air Force service in the 1965-1975 time frame?

For instance it looks like one might have actually been lost in an air battle in the 70's: https://www.nytimes.com/1971/06/01/arch ... -boat.html

And apparently some were being used with US troops on board at one point.

Also very interested in photos.

I've noticed in several books authors acknowledge the air attache of embassies.
You might contact the Korean Embassy and contact him.
