I can't tell from that wheel. Nose wheel perhaps? Here's a link below to the reason for asking. I sincerely hope it is the wreckage of the B-24 in the article for the sake of the family.

I guess so. Looks like the nose wheel is a match with at least one of the photos below. That's good.

Interesting that one wheel pictured has 8 teardrop shaped holes while the other two have nine!

Ok, so.... What models are the two pictures? Different builders?
I see the one with nine holes has a larger window on the nose side...

Looking at the underwatewr photo of the wheel.
I believe that the size is too big to be the nose wheel of a B-24. All photos that I have of B-24 nose wheels have 8 openings in the hub, The one in the photo has 9.
