Thank you for sharing the photos from your visit!

I just recently came across again this little TV documentary done on Kermit Weeks/Fantasy of Flight some years back, which features some of the last footage of Kermit Weeks flying his B-26 Marauder out of/around Fantasy of Flight (filmed sometime in the very early 2000's I believe - as seen after the 7:48 mark): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wai1EJb3mvY

Wonderful shots, Menards! Thanks for getting the inside of the B-24, and all the closeups.
Odd that Joe's data block is missing the serial number.
I take it the B-17 diorama is no longer accessible?

Thanks. I was able to stick my phone up through an open rear entry hatch to get the interior shot. Only one hangar next to the gift shop was open and accessible to the public when I was there. There was other hangars across the tarmac... I guess the new plan is to rotate planes in/out of the viewing hangar? If that's the case the b-17 may not be accessible any more.

Cool shots! I would almost kill to have that B-24 here in Wendover! Somehow I cannot help but think that being in Florida and as close to Disney World as it is does not help - pretty difficult to compete with Disney no matter how many cool planes you have.

The main hangar with the B-17 display is not available to the general public. Golden Hill is closed as well.

Kermit has been rotating the planes between hangars.

That was a cool clip. The Marauder was sweet, albeit it was a little crusty. The paint was flaking off in a number of places. Still it was so cool to be able to get up close to it. I first read about that plane in a magazine almost 30 years ago.
