If I recall correctly, that Harvard was the first aircraft to be operated by the CAF (Southern) Minnesota Wing, when the MN Wing became the first external branch of the CAF in 1971. From what I've heard, it had an overall polished finish back then as well, at least at the time it joined the CAF. Although it was a bit disappointing to see it go, it could never be operated here in the US to sell rides due to the foreign nature of its manufacture, and the CAF Minnesota Wing purchased an SNJ after selling the Harvard.
Not included in the registry update, the aircraft was purchased from the CAF by John F. Davis III in 2015 (also the owner of a P-40N (ex-VH-MIK)), who operated the Harvard in Colorado until selling it in 2016 to the current UK owner.
The Harvard really looks stunning after its recent interior/exterior overhaul in the UK, and I love the new markings. Photos of the aircraft, now operating in the UK, have been routinely shared on the T-6 Harvard & SNJ "The Pilot Maker" Facebook Group page. The aircraft goes by the name of "Dazzling Debs", as painted on the starboard-side of the aircraft.
