Help identifying French float planes

Thu Apr 13, 2017 2:22 pm

Hi, hoping someone can identify the aircraft in this photo. It was taken at Fillefranche-sur-Mer, between Nice and Monaco, some time in the mid 1930s. The battleships as best I can tell are from left to right, a Courbet class, and two Bretagne class ships. The photo is a 6 x 13 cm stereo (3D) image printed on glass. There are no labels on any of the photos in this set, but it belonged to a family who were swept up in the Holocaust. He survived, playing music for the Nazis. His wife and two children died. While their names are lost to history, I would like to at least bring a little who, where, and when to the photo set they left behind.

To close out the story, somehow the owner managed to reclaim his photos, approximately 250 images, after the war. The last shots in the set are of him, alone, arriving in New York. The seller believes he wound up in remarried in California, but never had any more kids.
