About 2004 there was a report of a Curtiss Hawk 75 Ex Armee d'Air, Luftwaffe and Finnish Air Force being restored in New Zealand. Any updates or photos. Can't even find the one photo I had seen of the tail with the German Swastika remnants.

Based here at Omaka, airframe coming along, but a part time project. Original tail is on display in the Dangerous Skies exhibition at the Heritage Centre which opened in Nov last year. One day I will post some photos of that.....

Oh Dave you tease.... I was lucky enough to see the project up close back in 2010 (i think it was) and is slowly coming along. I wasn't allowed to take photos but it will be a fine restoration when completed. Quite cool seeing the mixture of languages on original bits of the airframe!
