Good for them! Although it looks to be in pretty harsh shape but I guess it will at least be put inside? maybe?

so probably someone here can better answer this than me but according to what I see according to Baugher it is a P-38L with a tail code between 43-50339 and 43-52225

Um, you know, I'd love to have it. IF it were a T-6, C-47, or TBM, not so much. However it is many bits and pieces of a combat vet P-38. Maybe they can use it as a basis of a static display incorporated with a lot of fibreglass. It's much better than just a data plate and research material.
